Crabmeat has a soft, sweet, delicate taste and is an easy way to make any meal, lunch or supper, seem that much more of a treat. We sell white, brown and mixed crabmeat, delicious just on its own with toast or as a salad.
Crab and avocado marry well together. Simply mash a ripe avocado with the crabmeat, squeeze a little lemon juice over, season and add some finely chopped spring onion. Eat with corn chips and a cold beer.
Crabmeat pasta is quick and easy to make. For 4 people, you need about 8 grams of brown meat and 350 grams of white meat ( we can do this for you to order), 3 spring onions chopped, garlic and a few chilli flakes, 300 grams of pasta ( tagliatelle works well), 25 ml of dry cider or dry white wine, a handful of chopped parsley and basil mixed.
Heat some olive oil in a frying pan or wok, add the spring onions, garlic and chilli flakes and stir for a minute or two until softened, add the crabmeat and stir gently for another minute.
Then add the wine or cider and simmer for 3-4 minutes or until most of the liquid has gone. Add to the cooked pasta, toss in the chopped herbs and some black pepper and enjoy.
