Tuna fish steaks are wonderfully meaty with a subtle flavour, perfect for barbecuing or grilling. We source our tuna only from sustainable sources as far as possible.
Chargrill: Tuna steaks and fried potato slices make a really satisfying meal. Par-boil some potatoes and then cut into fairly thin slices. Heat some oil in a frying pan and fry the potato slices for 3- 4 minutes on either side until golden. Tip onto some kitchen paper sprinkle with a little salt and put in a warm oven.
Heat a grill pan over a medium heat and scatter some salt over the pan to prevent the tuna from sticking. Drizzle the steaks with a little oil and season with black pepper. When the pan is hot enough add the tuna steaks and cook for 1-2 minutes on either side depending on thickness, until the outsides have browned but the inside is still pink or, cooked to your preference.
Kebabs: Cut the steaks into bite size chunks and thread onto barbecue skewers interspersed with large pieces of onion and tomatoes or mushrooms and chunks of pepper. Brush with oil and turn constantly until ready. Good with a chilli and lime sauce dip.
